Some people walk into your life and feel like they’ve been part of it forever. 💛 Lisa is one of those people.

If you’ve been to The Commissary on a Friday or Saturday, chances are you’ve seen her — picking up her favorite goodies 🍪, chatting with other customers, and bringing sunshine through the door. She’s not on staff, but she’s very much part of our family.

Lisa shows up with local honey to ease our allergies 🍯, farm-fresh eggs when we need them, and always an encouraging word when we’re running on fumes. She keeps up with how our Battle Buddies 🐾 are doing, shares our story everywhere she goes, and embraces everything CharlieMike.org is about.

She believes in our mission — rescuing dogs, training them at a therapy level, and pairing them with veterans and first responders who are struggling during or after their service. She believes in the power of showing up, spreading love, and helping us save lives. 🫶

We’re so lucky to have Lisa — and others like her — standing beside us. This is what community looks like. 💙
